Find me a Niche, is where I wanted to begin in the journey to start a blog. I also made a list of how to find my niche So I did some research of some of the more popular blog niches out there. This is what I found:

Trending NicheMy Interests, Passions and Knowlege
Making Money (online)Interest in blogging and selling on Esty or Ebay
Finance InfoKilled my debt in 1 year, how to cut expenses
InvestingLittle knowledge, but interesting
LifestyleKeto, and empty nester, bucket lists, hiking
Health and FitnessKeto
FashionNONE, no desire
Recipes and FoodKeto, but I can’t cook
PetsI have pets, but….
GamingDoes Candy Crush count?
TravelingI love to travel, just can’t afford it on my budget; bucket list, hiking
Self-HelpOvercoming Anxiety
ParentingI did raise a great kid, my advice probably not the best
EducationalDYI, crafts, bucket list, hiking, family history, fractals, graphics, PSP, thrifting
My possible Niches/Blog ideas

My findings of possible Niches for me

The second column is what I would say is my knowledge or passion extent of each trending niche. Of course, I have to exclude fashion, gaming and investing. Pets and Parenting have no real pull for me to write about. I am far from being fit (I can run 2.5 miles with out stopping it only takes me 6 hours).

Now to make a second list:

Keep scratching niches off the list

I need to keep knocking these down, one by one. My greatest passion has to be computer graphics, including fractals, svg’s, t-shirt designs (sublimation). I use several different programs, but maybe a blog about tutorials on how to make the different graphics could be a possible niche.

My second passion is doing family history. My key focuses are Norwegian, Dutch and African American Genealogy. I know quite the combination. My father’s family comes from Norway and the Netherlands, and My son’s obviously shares those same genes, but he also has African American ancestors as well. I use Ancestry.com and have done my DNA, as well as my son has done his, both my parents and my brother. It’s amazing what you can find out, but it’s also very frustrating what is missing. I have helped a few people find their half cousins and siblings, which is very fulfilling. But can I do a whole blog on this subject. It would be a great niche, but…
